Tokine is older than him, and she is his childhood friend as well as his rival Kekkaishi. To save people from the crises, and to make himself stronger, Yoshimori fights against monsters tonight, too.
500 years ago, a landlord was attacked by demons wanting to retrieve his mysterious inner power, the invincible power that can help them take over the human world. The famous mage, Tokimori Hazama, was called upon, and with his 2 students, managed to save the whole land. But due to their sickness, the landlord got killed, his power buried with him at a site called Karasumori.
500 year later, Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, heirs of the Hazama clan, became the kekkaishi protecting the land and the power. They use a technique called Kekkai, a form of magical barrier, used to capture and destroy Ayakashi (monsters/demons) that are drawn to this land. Any demons that come near to the power will become stronger and therefore Yoshimori and Tokine are to guard the land from intrusion by the Ayakashi. But the demons form a powerful organization, led by a nine-tailed demon fox to take over that mysterious power. Yoshimori plans to destroy not only the demons, but also the power to completely save the world from being controlled by demons. To do that, he first need to know what the power actually is, and also strengthen his poor kekkai skills.

Story : Light Yagami is a brilliant, but bored, high school student who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground in the year 2003. The Death Note's instructions claim that, if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, believing it is just a prank. However, after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit the Death Note is real. After meeting with the true owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the new world" by passing his judgment on criminals.
Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira"(derived from the Japanese pronouncation of the English word "Killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race to prove mental superiority between the two begins.

About The Death Note : A Death Note is a book held by a Shinigami which has the power to kill people if certain conditions are met. All Death Notes follow a long set of specific rules, and the writer revealed a few of these rules with each volume of the manga in Japan.
Rules of The Death Note : Written rules Before the series began, Ryuk wrote some of them in English inside his Death Note, because he believed that English is the most widely used language in the world. The rules written by Ryuk are the following:
- The human whose name is written in this note shall die. - This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. - If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen. - If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack. - After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Also, each volume of the manga has a page containing new rules or possible uses for the Death Note. In the anime series, each eyecatch contains a different rule written in English and Japanese on it, similar to how they were revealed in the Japanese manga.
False rules In addition to these original rules, Light persuaded Ryuk to add a set of fake rules to mislead L and company.
- If the owner of the Death Note does not kill within 13 days of the last entry, he or she will die. - If the Death Note is burnt, destroyed, or otherwise damaged in any way, all those who have touched that Death Note will die.

The Characters : Light Yagami (KIRA) : The main character of Death Note, Light is a brilliant but bored student. When he finds the Death Note dropped in the human world by Ryuk, a Shinigami, he decides to use it to kill all criminals, his ultimate goal being to cleanse the world of evil to create a utopia and to be the God of this new world.
L : L is the world's top-rated detective, tasked with tracking down and arresting Kira, and Light's nemesis. His disheveled appearance masks his great powers of deduction and insight. L has many quirks, such as sitting in an odd manner and snacking on sweets in the middle of meetings. He often takes drastic strategies to confuse and force his opponents, and on several occasions he has willingly disclosed several of his weaknesses to Kira at the risk of his own life in the hopes that he would lure him into a trap.
Amane Misa : A girl with an immense crush on Kira. She is a famous model, and tends to wear Punk Lolita clothing. She is immature and has a tendency to refer to herself in the third person (calling herself "Misa-Misa") in an attempt to be cute. Misa is totally devoted to Light, and she once said that she loved him "at first sight". Light, however, only views her as an asset to his plans because of her Death Note and her "Shinigami Eyes" (that she obtained at the cost of half of her remaining life span). These "Shinigami Eyes" give Misa the ability to know people's names by looking at their faces, thereby giving Kira an edge in his battle against his enemies.
Mello : Mello was an orphan who grew up with Near in Watari's shelter for gifted children. He was also a primary candidate to become L's successor. Similar to L's fondness for sweets, he is often seen eating bars of chocolate. When he receives news of L's death, he swears to avenge L by capturing Kira. Contrary to Near, Mello, although quite intelligent, often lets his emotions get the better of him.
Near : Like Mello, Near was one of the candidates to become L's successor. He too shares a similarity to L: much like L played with things such as sugar cubes and forks, Near is seen playing with toys and his hair throughout the series. When Near learned of L's death, he offered to join forces with Mello to fight Kira. When Mello turned down his offer, he gained the support of the US government and formed the Secret Provision for Kira (SPK).
Publication History : The Death Note manga series was first serialized in the Japanese manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump published by Shueisha in December 2003. The series has since ended in Japan with a total of 108 chapters. Later, the individual chapters were collected into twelve separate tankōbon. Later, a 13th volume titled "Death Note - How to Read" was released, helping to elucidate some mysteries left at the end of the manga, like the destiny of some characters. The manga has since been published in several different languages including English, German and Chinese. Currently, VIZ Media has released eight volumes of Death Note in English.
To date, Death Note has sold 23 million copies.
The Death Note anime began airing in Japan on October 3, 2006,[4] and is currently scheduled to run for 37 episodes.[7] Contrary to the movies, the anime series follows the manga's original storyline with just a few alterations on the character designs and order of facts.

Busou Renkin Info | Monday, January 02, 2006
Story : The story begins when high school student Mutou Kazuki is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up and find it was only a dream. However, he soon finds out how real that dream was when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tsumura Tokiko, the girl from his dream, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however the girl revived him by placing a kakugane medal in his chest.
The kakugane, Tokiko explains, is an alchemical device that when activated can give him the power to fight homunculi. Using this, Kazuki creates his own Arms Alchemy (busou renkin), an alchemic weapon in the form of a huge lance. Along with Tokiko and her own Arms Alchemy (busou renkin), Kazuki joins the fight against the homunculi and their master.

About Busou Renkin : Busou Renkin is a manga series written and drawn by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin.
Busou Renkin was serialized in the weekly Japanese manga anthology Shonen Jump, with ten tankōbon volumes in total published in Japan. The series has been licensed by VIZ Media for US release and has been adapted into an anime by XEBEC, which is currently airing in Japan with a planned 26 episodes to be made in total. There are also two drama CDs as well as a novel based on the series.

About The Anime : Directed By : Takao Kato Studio : XEBEC Network : Japan - TV Tokyo Production Time : October 05, 2006 – March 29, 2007 Total No. of Anime Episodes : 26
About The Alchemy : In the world of Buso Renkin, there are two types of alchemy besides the historical one: buso renkin (weapon alchemy) and homunculus.
Buso renkin are weapons formed by the alchemically-created kakugane, based on the user's will to fight. Buso Renkin are the only weapons known to be able to kill a homunculus.
A homunculus is created when an embryo-like creation is placed inside an animal, plant, or human. Animal-type homunculi have strengths related to their animal base, apparently become sentient, and gain the ability to take on a human form. Human-type homunculi do not change form, but merely gain the strength and regenerative powers of a homunculus while retaining their human form. Homunculi frequently eat humans.
The Characters : Kazuki Muto : Kazuki Muto is a 16 year old boy who attends a private academy with his sister. After becoming involved in Tokiko's fight and subsequently being killed and revived, he is told to simply return to his ordinary life, but instead insists upon assisting Tokiko in her battles. Kazuki is very enthusiastic and friendly, and cares deeply for his friends and sister, tending to put himself in danger or difficulty in order to assist or protect others.
Tokiko Tsumura : Tokiko Tsumura is a 17 year old alchemy warrior that was assigned to take care of a homonculus problem in Kazuki's town. When Kazuki saved her from a homonculus (in actuallity, she had the situation under control) she felt a sense of attachment to him and revived him with a kakugane, intending to make sure that he never gets killed again. Tokiko is very dedicated to her job, claiming that she hates all homonculi, and quit going to school in order to be more efficient. She is serious almost all the time, which leads to some awkward situations when with Kazuki and his friends. She is later assigned to be a student at Kazuki's school by Captain Bravo.
Koshaku Chono : Koshaku Chono is a genius student from Kazuki's school and was meant to be heir to the Chono family fortune. However, he is also deathly ill and has had to repeat a year of school due to the amount of time he has needed to spend in the hospital. Upon discovering a 500 year old research diary from his great-great-grandfather he learned of alchemy and the process of making homunculi, experimenting with various animals first before turning himself into a human-type homunculus, renaming himself "Papillon".
As Papillon, he is flamboyant and reckless. He appears in public wearing his mask and in revealing or outlandish outfits, apparently oblivious to or possibly enjoying the stares of bystanders. After his initial defeat at the hands of Kazuki, he teams up with the homunculus Dr. Butterfly, his still-living great-great-grandfather.
Publishing History : Buso Renkin ended in the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump 2005 No. 21/22. The 10th and final tankōbon volume was released on 4 April 2006, possibly due to relatively poor fan response, especially when contrasting to the late Ruroni Kenshin, the author's most famous work.
VIZ Media has released the first official volume in English on August 1, 2006.
In Japan on October 4th of 2006, the Buso Renkin manga was adapted into an anime series. It runs on TV Tokyo.
The July 2006 issue of Shonen Jump U.S. featured a 53 page preview of the manga, ie the first chapter, with the first 5 pages in color. The US version of Rurouni Kenshin Volume 28 (the final volume) contained a sneak preview of Buso Renkin
